Kongkiat presentation update 2011′s yarn collections.
Kongkiat just released the new fresh presentation as slide-show. You can understand what Kongkiat Textile is all about in just 15 minutes. The slide will show you how to reduce the cost of using Kongkiat’s fancy and novelty yarn in the knitting facility , and present about how to use the effect yarn in garment industry.

Slide 1 :
Hello welcome to Kongkiat Textile presentation. In this presentation , I would like the present about the overview of Kongkiat Textile company , the products that Kongkiat is now marketing for the global market. And also I will explain the major concept of the technique of cost reducing to use the fancy yarn with regular yarn. In this presentation , you will understand the concept of white-to-white effect yarn and white-to-color effect yarn ,which is the main concept that all Kongkiat?s customers might need to understand to use Kongkiat?s fancy yarn.
Slide 2 :
Let?s start with the overview of Kongkiat Textile Company. So that you know more about ours facility that we have.
Slide 3 :
Kongkiat Textile company was established in year nineteen eighty five, which has the factory in Saraburi and the main office in Bangkok , Thailand. The traveling between the head office and factory will take you less than one and a half hour only.
Slide 4 :
Here is the photo of our Kongkiat?s main office located in Bangkok.

As I?ve mentioned , the Kongkiat?s factory is located in Saraburi province which is not very far from the main Bangkok office. All fancy yarn and effect yarn are produced at this Saraburi factory.

In factory , Kongkiat has two sub factories. One is the spinning factory which all spinning machines are made in Germany. All top dye yarn and Melange yarn produced from these spinning machines. So you can assure that the quality of the yarn is excellent for knitting manufacturer.

The other facility that Kongkiat Textile has, is dyeing facility. The dyeing house is also located in Saraburi, which is dyeing the loose stock fiber , yarn dye , and also, here is the main factory to create the many kind of colourful fancy yarn , which will be presented in details later on.

I would like the introduce the product of Kongkiat Textile which can be categorized into two sets of product.
Slide 9 :
the first category is top dye or melange yarn. This kind of yarn is produced from the mixed fiber and proceed through spinning facilities so that the yarn has the mixed color effect on the fabric.
Slide 10 :
Normally melange yarn has the grey color or black color ; however, Kongkiat also provide variety of color in Kongkiat’s catalogue as well.
Slide 11 :
Customers can request Kongkiat’s catalog which showing many color of melange yarn and also customer can choose variety of material blending ratio such as TC TK CVC or rayon blend. However, customers also can send us the same of fancy fabric that would like Kongkiat to produce. Research and development team will use kongkiat know how to produce the same effect as customer like to have.
Slide 12 :
Kongkiat determine to achieve the best quality of yarn and provide the best services to the customers. Garment manufacturers and indirect export local manufacturers order top-dye or melange yarn from Kongkiat Textile and do trust Kongkiat quality standard. Kongkiat’s customers can choose the color of melange yarn from our catalogue or send the sample to Kongkiat directly. The customers can consult and collaborate with Kongkiat’s development team to develop the fancy yarn that customer would like to achieve.

The main second category of Kongkiat’s yarn product is “FANCY YARN”. Fancy yarn can be separated into two types which are the fancy yarn produced from spinning facility and other one is the fancy yarn that produced from dyeing facility.
Slide 14 :
Fancy yarn is the yarn that has the effect on the it. When fancy yarn is knitted and transform to be fabric. There will be the effect on fabric showing as the texture or color effect. As you can see on the photo, the effect can see on the yarn also.

Using fancy yarn make the garment final product difference from other brands in apparel industries. Fancy yarn can be knitted in the normal condition of knitting machine without significant modification on the knitting machine. Getting fancy yarn from Kongkiat to product the fancy fabric that can differentiate your final garment with the other?s in the global market.

Mentioning the fancy yarn, here is the overview of the yarn effect such as NEPS , EEL, COMET , DOT , SLUB-X, ZERO , ZIGZAG and space dyed effect. I will introduce you to all the effect yarns that we have in this presentation later on.
Slide 17 :
Starting with the first hot seller fancy yarn; Neps yarn, neps yarn has the neps on the yarn which on the normal yarn. Neps can be seen as the defect on yarn and fabric ;however, in this case, Kongkiat intend to put the neps on it to present the vivid color on the fabric as the final product.
Slide 18 :
Neps yarn is now considered as classic fancy effect yarn since Kongkiat introduce this kind of yarn more than a decade to the market. Everyone in the industries also know it already. In this slide , showing the neps in luminous colour which is unique and fashionable on the market.

Neps yarns are all presented in many catalogs and there are many details in the each catalog which are different in colours and material blending ratios.

Before I present about other Kongkiat fancy yarn, You might need to understand the product concept of Kongkiat that is now presently introduce to all customers.
Slide 21 :
White to color ? what does it mean ? here is the diagram showing you what the white to color is. The color dots are presented as the effect that do has the color on it already in the yarn itself. The background has the color of the raw white color. Therefore, as the grey fabric after knitting process, the fabric has the color effect on it and the background has no color just like the raw white color.
Slide 22 :
The benefit of using the white to color fancy yarn, after knitting , the fabric can be dye on partially only the background since the effect has the color on it already. The effect still show the original color . As a result , the white to color fabric can be dyed to various colors as designer needs to fulfill the designed color collection according to the fashion trend.
Slide 23 :
In summary, white to color fancy yarn can provide you the mulit-color effect. Also , you can overdye fabric on the background to various color as I already mention in the previous slide.
Slide 24 :
Now I will proceed to white to white effect. The white to white effect , As the diagram showing the grey fabric, the effect does not have the color on it and also the background has no color too. Therefore, as the whole piece of fabric , you cannot see any color on it at all.
Slide 25 :
Then, when you dye the white to white grey fabric. You can simply just dye the effect part so that the fabric gain the color just on the effect spot as you can see in the diagram.
Slide 26 :
As the same time, you can also get this kind of fabric to be dyed as two parts coloring. You can dye the effect ans ALSO dye on the background as well which can create various color and various effect.
Slide 27 :
The benefit of using white to white effect yarn. It is quite easy to manage the stock , and leftover yarn since it is just a raw white. It is flexibility the color trend because it can be dyed according the fashion trend. Also You can dye as one part dyed , or two parts dyed as I describe in the previous slides.
Slide 28 :
The another main concept that you might need to know for using the fancy yarn is about the materials which can be dyed with different dyestuff. As shown in this table , now Kongkiat does present main three materials as the effect and background. If the material absorb different kind of dyestuff, you can use the white to white concept to produce the various color of fabric.
For example : if you do have cotton as the background material , and use polyester as the effect. You can use reactive dyestuff just for dyeing the color on cotton. You can use the disperse dye for dyeing only on polyester part separately. This kind of concept will apply to rayon-polyester fabric as well. Rayon will be absorb the reactive dyestuff as same as cotton , and still the polyester will not absorb the reactive dye but the disperse dye only.
Slide 29 :
Moreover, other than the concept of white to white fabric . Cost reducing by knitting with plain raw white yarn is another concept that Kongkiat always explain to the customer to achieve the less cost in the production , using Kongkiat’s fancy effect yarn. I would call it “Feeder by Feeder” technique cost reduction , and another concept the reduce the total cost using fancy yarn by design the fabric pattern as the stripe with normal regular raw white yarn. These two knitting and design techniques will lower the total cost of material ; as a result , the cost of final fabric is also reduced too.
Slide 30 :
This diagram showing you that every yarn has the effect on it as the blue dots on the blue line. Normally , the effect yarn has slightly higher price tag comparing with normal regular yarn.
Slide 31 :
If you use the knitting machine to knit the effect yarn with the feeder by feeder technique as shown in this diagram , it means that you average the cost out with the normal yarn just by knitting it every other effect yarn with normal yarn. Simply reduce the total cost ; however, the effect density showing on the fabric is also less than you use 100 percent with effect yarn for the whole piece fabric. This is why Kongkiat try to put more effect on single effect yarn , so that you can use this technique to reduce cost in the knitting process.
Slide 32 :
Now I will present the other fancy yarn that is now on the market from Kongkiat ,which is EEL yarn . Eel yarn concept is “Vintage and un-even m?lange look”. This is one kind of top dye yarn that look just different than the normal m?lange yarn. It looks is more sophisticated and suitable for current fashion trend, that customers would like the get the knitted fabric with un-even look and feel.
Silde 33 :

The next product : Comet yarn , which has the effect with head and tail on the effect. You can see it closely in the photo.

Kongkiat also has a few catalogues for presenting the comet yarn. This also apply the white to white and white to color concept with this product.

The next one is : Dot yarn , the effect of dot yarn has very blurry small effect in the fabric as shown in the photo.

Definitely, Kongkiat also provides the catalogues for presenting both concept as white to white and white to color effect with multi color shown in the catalogue books. Here is the cover of those catalogues.
Slide 38 :
Slub-X is streaky,un-even,long slub effect. This kind of slub is quite different compare to what you might have seen on the market. Slub-X has longer effect than the regular one. It creates the feeling of vintage style on fabric and more un-evenly on the shirt and fabric as the final apparel.
Siide 39 :
Many products have the Slub-X effect with it. Here is the examples of the yarn that has this kind of effect on it , including , wave yarn , Tri-blend X yarn ,and Slub-X yarn. All kind of yarns that have the slub-effect will show the texture and un-even look on the fabric.
Slide 40 :
Zigzag yarn : is one the white to white yarn which has short stripe. This yarn has been pretreated the chemicals that would absorb more dye on yarn partially. So that the yarn has the dyestuff absorbility much more than the part that is not pretreated the chemical. After knitting , you can just see it as the plain raw white fabric ; however, after dyeing , you will see the magnificent streaky color effect on the fabric right after dyeing with reactive dye , which is used for cotton and rayon material.
Side 41 :
Customers can buy Kongkiat’s Zigzag yarn ,and dye the knitted fabric in various colors. Zigzag yarn as I’ve said is 100 percent cotton yarn. Kongkiat also provide this similar yarn but using the 100 percent Rayon or viscose yarn instead which is called Space-X yarn.
Slide 42 :
Zero yarn : is also the same concept of yarn ,like Zigzag yarn but the pattern of stripe is longer than the zigzag yarn. As it is white to white yarn, you cannot see the effect until you go dyeing it as fabric. After dyeing with reactive dye , the effect will show vividly like you see in the presentation here.
Slide 43 :
Kongkiat has Zero yarn that is made from 100 percent cotton only ; but now, Kongkiat is developing the same pattern of yarn just like Zero yarn , but will be made of 100 percent Viscose Rayon yarn instead of cotton. You may request it later on,if you would like to have this kind of pattern but on Viscose rayon instead.
Slide 44 :
Space Dyed yarn : is the yarn that produced in Kongkiat dye house facility using the unique machine to create this kind of dyeing pattern color effect. Space dyed yarn can have at the most 4 colors on the yarn. In the sample shown here is space dyed with only 2 colors; black and blue. This yarn is color to color yarn just like yarn dyed process. You get the yarn with full color on it. Also Kongkiat has the spectrophotometer to match the color that customers want Kongkiat to do.
Slide 45 :
Space dyed yarn has been shown in many catalogues that presenting the various range of colors and various patterns so that customers can choose from Kongkiat?s yarn catalogues to match the design. Also Kongkiat?s space dye effect yarn composition is 100 percent cotton or 100 percent viscose Rayon yarn.
